ABOUT ME
Aria was born during the pandemic in October of 2020. Being that I started during a time of change I experienced a very different form of drag. Everything at the beginning of my career was done digitally through zoom and through social media. I had got to a point with my schooling that I became very depressed. I had no social life, I had no motivation to do anything besides drag! That is when I met the people who would have changed my life for the better!
That is when I met a small group of performers from New York. Juliette Stark, Anna Crew-Sis, Xavier Chaos, Giselle Romaine, and Fallon Angel. I was approached to perform with them for their digital Holiday drag show on zoom! I had never performed in drag before this, however I had experience performing in other activities through my school career. I was nervous but I created 2 holiday looks and performances, styled my hair all by myself not knowing how to work with wigs, and put on my first ever drag performance. I have to thank those individuals for believing in me and making me realize that this is something I CAN do. Without them Aria would not be where or who she is today. Thank you <3
After about 6 months of digital drag performances and posting cheap looks on social media I began meeting some local performers on social media. I was approached by a queen named Amara Lee Duppree with an opportuinty I could have only dreamed of. Things started to open back up with some restrictions which meant it was time for my opportunity to get on the stage. Amara invited me to be a special guest performer for the night. I invited some college friend who travelled 3 hours to come watch me perform "Replay" by Lady Gaga. This was my first time in public with my drag makeup on, I could not walk in my heels, and my wig fell off however the adrenaline kept me going. That was the most freeing experience and I have to thank Amara for believing in me and giving me this opportunity, without her love and support I simply wouldn't have the experiences that I do today. Thank you Amara <3
From April 2021 to now I have accomplished more than I ever could have imagined. I have a group of queens/kings/ and friends who support me every step of the way. I perform all over New York and even in other states. I have became a host every 4th friday at TREXX nightclub. I host and put together diverse shows at many other locations. I style hair for queens/kings and create/sew many of my own looks. I have learnt many new things about both Aria and Jacob. I have found the most loving and supportive boyfriend and I have gained the support of my family. I have learnt so much and am on the path to learn even more!
